Leading a team of talented Recreation Aide’s, Rebecca plans, implements, and evaluates purposeful recreation and leisure, which improves Residents' well-being and overall quality of life. At the basis of all her Therapeutic Recreation Programming is the fundamental value of person-centered care.

Throughout the past she has gained experience for Therapeutic Recreation through working and volunteering with various agencies including the BC Wheelchair Sports Association and the Canadian Mental Health Association while obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Douglas College. Rebecca has a deep passion for assisting all people, regardless of age or ability, in recreation. It is through this medium that she hopes to build a more resilient older adult population.

When Rebecca isn’t leading Recreation at Tabor Home or furthering her education, you will find her at home with her husband Josh and their two orange cats. Rebecca has a passion for cooking which led her through a year of culinary arts school and is often in her kitchen trying to cook something new and unusual. She is also an avid reader, enjoys nature walks, and often hosts board game nights for her friends.
