After attending MBBI (now known as Colombia Bible College) for three terms, her working career started as a teller/posting clerk in the local Credit Union learning many positions including account manager of a small branch. Marilyn and her husband Rudy have been involved for many years caring for disabled adults by being house parents at Twin Firs (Abbotsford) and Calgary Association of the Handicapped (Calgary) for several years. She was asked to step into the role of bookkeeper at Central Heights and thoroughly enjoyed working in a ministry environment. During that time, she was mentored by a senior leader in the area of church administration and eventually used that to serve Bakerview MB Church as their Administrator. In 2001 Marilyn was invited to apply for the position of Director of Administration for BC MB Conference and gladly stepped into that new role. During the 13 years at BCMB she connected and resourced many of the churches in BC. During this time, she also served on the Board of Columbia Bible College, the CCMBC Board of Management as well as the CCMBC Executive Board. Recently she was invited back to join the CCMBC Board as secretary. She has come to enjoy reviewing governance issues and takes every opportunity to learn more on this topic. Marilyn is married to Rudy, a retired BC Corrections officer and they have three children and four grandchildren.
